Art linking research and practice
I am an artist, environmentalist, and animal advocate. I hold a BSc (Biology), a BA (Hons Psych) and an MA (Art History), enabling me to work in a interdicipliary space.
While working on my Master of Arts in Art History at Carleton University, my research addressed animals in art, the pastoral in printmaking, and the representation of industrial animal agriculture in the ecocritical discourse and eco art. I also conducted research on the Ottawa visual arts environment.
The growing urgency of the climate crises in combination with COVID-19 has prompted a growing interest in urban ecology.
